TRAVEL 》Cambridge by Bike

Last weekend a group of nine bike-incompetent (lol) graduates visited one of the most prestigious university cities in the UK for a spot of rural cycling, afternoon scones and birthday fun!

In celebration of her 23rd birthday, one of my friends organised a bike trip to Cambridge.

We all thought (okay so maybe I thought) it'd be a doodle : a nice relaxing cycle by the canal, sunning in our shades - that kind of thing. Turned out to be more of a workout than a cool down!

Along the way we encountered some rather rough terrain, a cute tea room in Grantchester and one of the amazing university campuses.

There was also a lengthy and rather memorable political discussion over lunch which had me in stitches one minute and cowering the next! I think Cambridge brought out the polititans in all of us. #thepassionisreal

We've already made plans to head back to the city with the intention of grabbing a canoe and maneuvering the waters like real pros! We'll see how that one goes haha...

I highly recommend checking Cambridge out of you haven't already. It's a great blend of history, landscape and culture. And if you can, sneak around a campus - it's not everyday that you have (or everyone that has) the privilege of seeing pristine lawns and world famous buildings.

Hope you have a lovely new weekend!
